Illegal 'help' is NOT acceptable.

Quit twisting my words; please--------your credibility is eroding more and more.
We have such a bloated 'Yuppie' class that they would have to learn how to live within their means.
if it means no more hired help, oh well

This was your post.

Do you know of ANYONE that is using ILLEGAL help? If you do, turn them in,
you probably have the border patrol# by heart.

No more McMansions, etc.
Well . . . maybe they could move another family in with them, you know, to help defray the costs. Maybe 3 or more families, and it would all balance out

Actually Sassy - you don't report illegals to the Border Patrol. You report them to ICE or, if you live in Maricopa or Pima Counties - to the Sheriff's Department.

My unabridged post is here: #3:

I, too am from the Wash DC area.........if mass deportations wind up crushing the economy there due to no flagrantly underpaid 'worker bees' (legal or illegal)--------tough!

We have such a bloated 'Yuppie' class that they would have to learn how to live within their means.

If it means no more hired help, oh well.

NOTE: I am not referring to those folks who are truly affluent.
Read again, please.

No can do--------we have zoning laws that preclude what you are suggesting.

This is not Mexico.

AzBear has shown me no evidence that he is jealous of affulent americans. i have no problems with affulent hard-working americans hiring help if they can afford to hire it. what i have a problem with is those affulent folks trying to penny pitch and hire illegals who will work for less b/c of their illegal status.

mach50 i know plenty of HS graduates who aint going to college who would be happy to take those hotel jobs if the right price is paid. This is an extremely expensive area as AZbear and Benicar can tell you and no legit legal worker is gonna do any job for minimum wage here.

Hey you know what I hope you all get what you are asking for. Let me know if you hear about them raising wages right now, especially when many Americans are not getting merit increases for the nice office jobs. Seriously I would just like to see high school grad americans working there, I think it would be great.

I worked in a hotel when I was 16, everything from bus boy, wash room, to maintenance, it is not fun or glamorous work. Actually when I worked in the 80's at a Hotel in Florida it was all Hispanics and Blacks then and the front desk were White.
