Anyone can have hired help if they abide by the labor laws which include following safety standards, overtime pay, minimum wage and paying into social security tax and so on.
If someone cannot pay legal wages and benefits -- then make your own beds and mow your own lawns. No one is entiled to bring in illegals simply because they think they shouldn't have to pay legal wages.
Do you know of ANYONE that is using ILLEGAL help? If you do, turn them in,
you probably have the border patrol# by heart.
Then the putative 'affluent' DC area (and everywhere else) populace will need to take a cut in their standards of living as well since 'hired help' will be scarce.
No more McMansions, etc.
Well . . . maybe they could move another family in with them, you know, to help defray the costs. Maybe 3 or more families, and it would all balance out

Actually Sassy - you don't report illegals to the Border Patrol. You report them to ICE or, if you live in Maricopa or Pima Counties - to the Sheriff's Department.
We have such a bloated 'Yuppie' class that they would have to learn how to live within their means.

Hey you know what I hope you all get what you are asking for. Let me know if you hear about them raising wages right now, especially when many Americans are not getting merit increases for the nice office jobs. Seriously I would just like to see high school grad americans working there, I think it would be great.
I worked in a hotel when I was 16, everything from bus boy, wash room, to maintenance, it is not fun or glamorous work. Actually when I worked in the 80's at a Hotel in Florida it was all Hispanics and Blacks then and the front desk were White.
