The feds have the pwoer to hold local police to holding illegals by the same way that they force enforcement of seatbelt laws. By withholding federal funding if not enforced.Butit is even easier than that give those showing a need for funds equipment etc.funds by reason on the illegal detainment rate.Local governamnts jump at any chance to shift fundng to the feds such as equipment.
