Maldonado: you have a hell of a lot of nerve whining about being treated as 'delinquents'. Face it: you and you merry little band of lawbreakers are just that!

I bet if a bunch of Gringos went to Mexico illegally and attempted to hold a Southern Baptist service; especially in English beside a Mayan pyramid, the Mexican people and authorities would be pissed------to be polite. And rightly so.

A true Church would be looking at the source of the problem, and that is injustice and inequality in Mexico, and nothing is stopping these so-called religious leaders from following their congregations back home and working to improve conditions for them there.

It's time to stop this "faith-based charity" which may have looked like a good idea but it's being used to help people break the fair laws of this country.

Money going for faith based charities from the USA government should be limited to those working to help Americans. We send plenty of foreign aid dollars to Mexico. We don't need to bring the entire population of that nation here, and we don't need to encourage the breaking of our laws by the people of any nation.
