Trump on Tuesday claimed that he will sign an executive order ending automatic U.S. citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants "on day one" of his administration if elected in 2024.

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trum...n-plan-1803374

Would love to see this happen because it would be in keeping with the wording of the 14th Amendment of our Constitution and end that incentive for illegal aliens to come here. However, as usual the Democrats would challenge it.

Excuse the biasness of this article and the incorrect term of "undocumented immigrants" to.

By that logic Trump should hardly make any promise for his next term.

He was looking into it, but now having seen that a POTUS (Biden) who was "put" in office can do anything with an EO, despite there being 2 other branches of the federal government, Trump probably realizes that now, it isn't a POTUS, it is a Dictator!

He was discussing it in 2018, looking at options, but they said he would not be able to do it, but as I said above "that was then, this is now", the POTUS obviously has gained enormous powers since Trump was POTUS!

This one will be particularly troublesome to the Dems, as the reality is, a lot of people on both political sides, plus those in-between are ticked off major, especially since those sanctuary cities have gotten to "feel the pain", I mean, the joy of 3rd world diversity, are not at all happy about what Biden has done with this mess that we are all paying billions to support!

I posted in the main area on this. I knew from Trump's previous term that it would be up to the SC to take another look at what was meant by the 14th Amendment.

https://www.heritage.org/immigration...14th-amendment

"This amendment’s language was derived from the 1866 Civil Rights Act, which provided that “[a]ll persons born in the United States, and not subject to any foreign power” would be considered citizens.

The key here is that the parents being subject to a foreign power, their home country, would deliver children that were also subject to that same foreign power.

Seriously, I have looked at the requirements of other countries, and it is no wonder they are pouring in here. No one in their right mind, and in the olden days, there were a lot more than today, would set it up so that someone could come into the country, have babies that we paid to deliver and raise due to their "citizenship", and then millions would compete with other citizens, until one day, that country would no longer exist as the country it was. We are on our way.

Trump is the only hope, and he is getting in the way of the "agenda", and there are a lot of powerful people behind that agenda. I hope he stays safe, as the liberals are so violent and hateful these days, and so set on freebies from the government.

Maybe Trump is beating Desantis to the punch. Smart move.

Truly a grave mistake was made allowing this travesty of allowing birthright citizenship to go on for so long.

If you support this practice then you clearly support illegal immigration. Just like those who oppose securing the border.
