“We will take action to end the idea that the children of illegal aliens are entitled to birthright citizenship if they are born in the United States,” the plan, which is titled “No Excuses,” reads.

“Dangling the prize of citizenship to the future offspring of illegal immigrants is a major driver of illegal migration. It is also inconsistent with the original understanding of 14th Amendment, and we will force the courts and Congress to finally address this failed policy.”

Well we all know that the Democrats will fight this all the way just like Trump intended to change this fiasco. The SC needs to rule on this once and for all that makes a mockery out of our citizenship and is costing us dearly in so many ways.

“end the idea”?

What does that mean?

Not buying it until he pledges an immediate EO upon taking office and to only appoint anti birthright citizenship judges to the judiciary.

Until then, Trump.

An EO? Is that even going to work? The only way, as far as I know, is getting the Supreme Court to decide if the 14th gives birthright citizenship to every child born here or not. I can’t see an EO working on this issue.

An EO would be challenged in court, invariably ending up at the Supreme Court.

That's what needs to happen. Get it to the SC for them to interpret birthright citizenship as it was meant to be.

I think now that TX and FL have "spread the wealth" that is the illegal invasion of our country, that more peoples' ears will perk up when they hear this being said.

I think Biden illegally used EOs during the "emergency" due to the "plandemic", and I believe he overstepped many times. Hopefully, we can get back to doing things more the right way.

I do expect the Dems and other interests to initiate a PR campaign, that Repubs are going after babies etc..

Quite simple; flip it on them by saying that it’s xenophobic and condescending to imply that your punishing children by allowing them to gain citizenship from their parents home countries. They would be implying that these where s-hole countries.

Quest, ^ this is an important insight I wish more people had..

There is a smug assumption baked in to the Liberal altruism/practice of bringing illegal immigrants in to America. ie- The assumption that illegal immigrants are ALWAYS better off in America, separated from their cultural roots & families. The Left are unintentionally admitting (contrary to their ideology) that America is a better place than Mexico, Honduras, etc.. Basically even when the immigrants are separated from their traditions or even their own parents.

Personally I think a better & more humane policy would be to keep immigrants & children in their native countries and assist with (more) foreign aid. But even if we don't increase foreign aid, I'll never assume that kids orphaned at our border would ALWAYS be better off as Americans.
