Here is an interesting article I found:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/...terstitialskip
I don't see how people think we as a nation will not be affected by the rapid growth of the low income population. We are paying for the education, health care, and government aid for all this low income growth. This article seems to be a PC way of saying anchor babies are the reason for this rapid increase. Why do we allow birthright citizenship again???

They call it a "natural" increase just because it's from births in the U.S. rather than actual border-crossing people. What difference does it make if it's low-income growth, where we have to support people?

Great "family values" of these people - having kids without marriage, or even with marriage, having more than you can afford, so somebody else foots the bill. THAT, to me, is child abuse - if you can't take care of kids, you should not have them. They will not get a good life because you cannot provide it.

WE, the taxpayers, will provide them with medical care, schooling, food, etc. But, this is not the best life for a child.

No it’s not; and sadly this mindset of entitlement and low aspiration tends to be perpetuated from one generation to the next.

The welfare of children is paramount to responsible adults, and they procreate accordingly. Why should the taxes of hard-working citizens be used to support the irresponsible breeding habits of illegal aliens?

Eugenics.

Why don't we just make Eugenics official and hand out licenses to whom are allowed to breed?

Let's all watch Idiocracy, sip tea and eat cake.

The news reports on hispanics as if they are the only people who are having children with a low income. It just seems like yet another thing to blame hispanics on. But it's not just hispanics, ever heard of a welfare state? Americans have been doing the same thing in some areas on the country.

Let's face it, smarter people are breeding less all around the world, this is not just dumb low class hispanics epidemic.

If we already have a low income population in the US, what on earth can possible the point of bringing in more? Allowing illegal aliens from SOB into the US is importing poverty.

Didn't the article state these were mainly "natural" increases? Meaning not from immigration?

This is at the bottom of the article:

Quote:
Because more than half of births to Hispanic immigrants are to low-income women who have no high school degree, a natural population increase challenges communities, says Steve Camarota, research director at the Center for Immigration Studies, which promotes limits on immigration.

"It's a huge growth in low-income population and low tax payments," he says. "If the town is not viable economically, immigration is not going to fix that problem."

Do you think you are going to change these people overnight?

The pace of hispanics births has already slowed considerably, it will eventually get older, less religious and smarter. Then it will come full circle and they also will have a declining birthrate (where Europe and Americans are heading), at that point we can all together go into extinction.

I really don’t think we have to worry about extinction. I simply can’t condone irresponsible procreation, irrespective of race/ethnicity. I already know your stance on large families, but don’t you think people should not have children they must rely on the government (taxpayers) to support?

Can we change the people? No, of course we can't change them. What we can change is the fact that we are not enforcing our current immigration laws and our borders. We can also change our bogus birthright citizenship policy, so that the children of illegal aliens are not automatically granted U.S. citizenship.
