SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Federal immigration officials vowed Friday to intensify efforts to track down illegal immigrants after scrapping a trial "self-deportation" program that attracted only eight volunteers.

Though the 2 1/2-week effort produced few volunteer deportees among illegal immigrants who are under court orders to leave the country, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official said his agency will arrest more of them this year than last—and still more next year as more agents are assigned.

The fact that they have to be forced out clearly sends an "up yours" message to America and the rule of law. ICE needs to realize that illegal aliens feel that they are above our laws and despite the fact that they have come here of their own free will, they have no intentions of leaving in the same manner.

It's time to take off the PC gloves and treat them the way Mexico treats them. That's the only thing ignorant peasants with low self esteem understand and responds too.

Exhibit A: Delusional loyalty to and love for their country while fully aware that they are thought of and treated as scum at the bottom of a fish tank.

Immigrant advocates accused ICE of using the failure of the "Scheduled Departure" program to justify raids that have caused many illegal immigrants to live in fear of a pre-dawn knock on the door. They ridiculed the self-deportation program, saying it gave people no incentive to surrender.
No incentive to surrender? These are people who have already had their deportation hearings. Why are they even permitted to remain in this country? Do they offer incentives to legal citizens who ignore court orders? C'mon, this is ridiculous.

Upon completion of the deportation proceedings, ICE should be waiting outside, and they should be deported immediately, and prevented from returning. There are almost 500,000 illegal alien absconders. Why on earth did they even believe these people who have no respect for our laws, would suddenly comply?

The insanity continues on both ends of the pendulum . . . .
