Eying the results so far in the U.S. presidential primary race, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said he is hopeful that the next administration in Washington will usher in reforms that would legalize the status of Mexican immigrants.

β€œIt seems to me that the most radical and anti-immigrant candidates have been left behind and have been put in their place by their own electorate,” Calderon told the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, the day after the Super Tuesday primaries.

Calderon is grasping at straws------he realizes the hammer is coming down on the illegals, most of whom happen to be Mexican citizens.

As far as granting legal status to workers from Mexico, Bush already is hard at work doing just that....

If you think Calderon is just meddling in another country's affairs, and he shouldn't be allowed to do that, then that must mean you don't think we have any business meddling in the affairs of other countries....

Calderon should legalize illegal immigrants in Mexico. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Tell it to Calderon.....

...he's likely already lined up his interests with Bush, so he won't probably pay any attention to you.

I think this guy had better start talking to the states and local governments - that's who is going to kick out his illegals and send 'em back home.
