Austin protest targets toll road 'tyranny'

Web Posted: 03/02/2007 11:44 PM CST

Gary Scharrer
Austin Bureau

AUSTIN — A protest against toll roads highlighted a rally on the Capitol steps Friday, but the Texas Independence Day holiday put folks in the mood to raise hell about other grievances as well.
Many also complained about a national animal identification tag. Some grumbled about the state's loss of control of its borders. A few warned about the coming "North American Union." And some excoriated the United Nations for wanting "to take your gun," exhorting anyone within earshot to "get us out of the U.N."
I heard nothing about this protest on any TV stations. Look at this statement "The Perry camp shrugged off the criticism."--This says it all! The citizens of this country protest and the politician shruggs it off. This tells me that these politicians do not take us seriously even when we protest. The heat/pressure needs to be turned up!!!

So..What's the difference between a Texan or an Alabaman protest?! Does it justify your point to greater detail?!

Anybody else thinking what im thinking about that comment. THE PROTEST WAS IN TEXAS. "Texans Protest" is specific to Texas. If Alabama citizens would have protested I would have put "Alabamans Protest". Damn!!

Texanborn, I can tell you are in my age category, but you exhibit little maturity. Think about it, you can change your attitude.

Dir Drill 1, I've already spoken with you on your behavior towards me, and dialogue between you and I is finished.

If the dialogue is finished between Dir Drill and yourself (as you have said it is), why don't you be the bigger person you think you are and ignore Dir Drill? If you set some rules then you must follow them as well. I wonder what your age category is because at this point you are definitely reminding me of a ten-year old. Hm. Nah, maybe a narcissistic five year old. Perhaps.
