let private land owners that own land on the border shoot any attempts at illegal crossing without interference from the law enforcement community except to come and make sure it is an illegal alien.
Stop eating fresh fruits and vegetables, don't use non-union construction workers, raise your own kids, clean your own house, mow your own grass, and not eat out at restaurants. Problem solved.

Also, arrest anyone who has knowingly hired illegals either in person or through an HR department and fine him $10,000 per employee and slap him with mandatory time out in the Big House for each alien, the sentences to run consecutively.
If the illegals cannot find employment they will self-deport with no Law Enforcement involvement and at no cost to the state.
But, as you say Dr. O, make certain that what you are asking for is what you really want. The cost of goods and services will absolutely rise to make it possible for the employers to hire new legal employees and pay them a living wage.

Amnesty would only intensify this problem. There are many answers to this problem but the one that is most simple is enforcing what is already on the books as immigration law. The average citizen should get involved.
Cut off Health care for Illegals. Put them on a Bus to Mexico.
Change the laws: If you are here illegally and have kids...they do not become US citizens.
They are still Illegal.
For every undocumented aliens here...withhold an equivalent amount of $$$$ from the governments of those illegals until the governments decide to build up their economies instead of shipping their unwanted here.
