[quote=TempesT68;16751144]That's true he was one of the supporters of McCain's amnesty bill, but was shot down in congress by the democrats
No, it was shot down by mostly Republicans.
?? Where do you get this? The vast majority do not support amnesty, though most republicans do. Amnesty = cheap labor, good for their big business cronies.
Where do you get your info? Most Republicans do not support amnesty but most Democrats do. If the goal is to keep cheap labor then amnesty would not be the answer because the employers would have to pay the newly legalized aliens a fair wage.
Obama has made absolutely not a single call for amnesty, if anything against it (remember the right's outbust at Obama's speech where he made it clear his health care bill will not include illegals?)
If McCain was in office right now we would have immigration reform, blanket amnesty.
Are you kidding me? Don't you read the news or watch tv? Obama has been promising amnesty/legalizations of these aliens since before he took office. You are right about McCain however, he is an amnesty proponent also.
Majority of Democrats and in particular the Hispanic ones = in favor of amnesty
Obama = definately favors amnesty
If you support illegals, Democrats are on your side!
People complain about the TEA Party being extreme but it's the Democrats that have been taken over by extremists( Liberals). The Democrats of the past would be shocked at how extreme their party is today.
Reagan passed the bill allowing anyone to get care at emergency rooms.
Which was 20 something years ago before illegal immigration was really this much of an issue.
I'm sure if he could see the handwriting on the wall he would've thought twice. Reagan was a smart man & one of the best presidents this country has ever had period.

Both sides are too extreme. The left want us to be some socialist "utopia" like Europe while the right want us to become another Mexico.

Only the rich elite want us to become another Mexico so they can eliminate the middle class and have all the cheap slaves they want. Most average conservatives (the right as you call them) want these illegals deported.

I would thnik that the last vote on amnesty when the democratic aprty controlled congresss would answer the original qaution. that is unless the OP thinks Obama is god and gets what he wants withot first goign thru congresss. It answered the question on who rewally supports amnesty :i think and who talks rethoric for gaining votes only.
Well it is the majority of congressmen in the Republican party that are fighting amnesty and demanding securer borders. You want to prove otherwise?
Saying something and doing something are two totally different things. Look at Bush's presidency. He said he'd be tough on immigration yet deportations were down when he was in office. These people will say anything to bring you guys in line. Same as how democrats pretend they'll fight for the middle class. In the end their loyalties lie with their paymasters.
