The former San Antonio mayor touts that thesis in a new book, “Latinos and the Nation's Future,” released this week in Washington.

“The Latino population is growing so rapidly that American progress in the coming century is inextricably linked to the progress of the Latino community,” Cisneros said. “Any investment in services that help lift Latinos into the middle class is an investment in the future of the entire country.”

The Latino population is estimated to grow to 63 million and make up 25 percent of the U.S. population by 2050, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates.

With all of the horn tooting about the value of illegal alien hispanics, which by the way always comes out of the mouth of another hispanic, if they are so valuable why is Mexico always shoving them down our throats in the hopes of getting rid of them?
