Dwight Eisenhower deported all the illegal immigrants back in the 1950s, why can't we do it now?

Ding! He didn't so much as deport but started cracking down on them and in fear they self-deported vs the possibility of being deported to a part of their Country where they knew no one.

Deportation is the only way, but, Juarez is a little close in for me. Being right next door to El Paso Tx. would make it easy to sneak back in. How about sending them to China, see if they can swim back.

True, we could "outsource" our deportation centers. Maybe a country like Haiti could use the jobs and any illegals waiting to be processed or for an appeal could be sent there to wait. It would save money.

I think deportation isn't the right word -- it should be referred to as repatriation.

Are there any large, uninhabited islands left on this planet? If one can be found then we could send all the illegals to this island and let them build it up as the British prisoners once did in Australia.
I like the idea of a large tent city (set up someone in the middle of the desert) to house the illegals until they can be deported back to their motherland.

Maybe if santuary cities stopped pandering to illegals and started cutting benefits they would self deport.

The true and only way to deter illegal immigration is to enforce our borders like the way every other country in the world does which is putting our military there and truly making it a national border.
If there was a wall it would make it nearly impossible to enter this country illegally.

They don't have to all be from Mexico - they come from all over the world to get here - it just happens that Mexico's border with the USA is the most porous.

And yes, if this country can muster up hundreds of billions for a bailout that ISN'T EVEN FINISHED - we can round up billions for the purpose of restoring our sovereignty and national security from the invasion we have now.

It's called - round them up ON SIGHT (THAT MEANS ALL THE BOZOS AT THE HOME DEPOT AND LOITERING IN PARKS ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE WHITE HOUSE AND THE PACIFIC DIVISION POLICE STATION IN WEST L.A.), bag, tag, and return to sender.

[quote=Greatday;8311660]Personal involvment.

Here in AZ, those from countries south of the US Border are processed for deportment within 24 hours of detainment - then they are deported shortly there after.

how long/short is "shortly"..? What about non-Mexicans..i.e. Central and South Americans..you can't just put them on a bus.

It's really not all that difficult to deport illegal immigrants.

1. Cut off all aid--no food stamps, no housing, no birthright citizenship, no more freebies of any kind at the expense of the American citizen.
2. Heavily fine and imprison anyone found to be employing illegal immigrants.

No goodies and voila! Deportation through attrition!
