AUSTIN -- Businesses could lose their licenses for hiring undocumented workers, so-called sanctuary cities would be banned in Texas, and motorists would have to prove their legal status to get a driver's license under a series of bills a panel of House lawmakers discussed Tuesday.
My goodness, those bills seem like gifts from heaven.

I'm praying that conservative Texas decides to seek to cooperate with the federal government, our laws and pass all the anti-illegal ones.

These bills sound great-I do hope that they pass.

If these bills pass, I'll be even more proud to be a Texan.

They'll probably pass, but the hard part is to keep a judge from blocking them while the ACLU and every Hispanic advocacy group in the U.S. files lawsuits against them.

Suffice to say: at least some of the impending bills will will pass and the ACLU will steer clear------------remember that Texas has a large Black population and; call me cynical here, but they may invoke their (much bigger/more legit) 'race card' against illegal aliens.

TX's Hispanic population is MUCH larger than TX's black population.

Regardless, these bills will get through the legislature and the governor will sign them. The problem is that if amnesty passes they won't mean a thing.

Obama will not be able to cram through anything resembling an Amnesty. A very small percentage that can PROVE they've filed tax returns, have stayed out of trouble, can PROVE they were working, pay a large fine and can speak English well must then return home and start the process behind those already doing it correctly.

There won't be that many that can fit that description.

Obama will push as hard as he can for amnesty. I don't recall Obama mentioning that any of those requirements will be conditions.

The blue Congress will pass it to earn a guaranteed 12-30 million new Democratic voters.
