According to the official DREAM Act website, the current Senate vote is 52 yea and 26 nay. Durbin and company are looking for 8 more votes to pass their bill, and they just got an interesting endorsement—The College Board. James Montoya, vice president of the College Board, made the announcement yesterday, saying the board is supporting the Dream Act so that more students can attend college. The College Board’s report found that 90 to 95 percent of undocumented high school students don’t attend college because federal law prevents them from receiving financial aid and working.
Well gee, in light of the fact that immigration laws forbid them to be in this country illegally, it makes sense that they NOT receive any type of taxpayer funded financial assistance unless they are seriously injured. Even then their country of origin should be forced to pay the bill or have it deducted from any foreign provided by the US.
Please call Dick Durbin and tell him that his support of illegal aliens and amnesty is insane and said insanity needs to end . . . .

Interesting. While I am surprised that Kennedy hasn't voted, McCain is up for re-election and is probably walking around in a state of panic, dementia and confusion.
dodd, kennedy, boxer, and mccain are weasels who won't even take a stand on this important issue. they shouldn't be allowed to abstain from voting and then we would know edactly where our representatives stand on every single issue. the good news is that mccain might lose his seat in the next election since the founder of the civilian minuteman group is running against him. i plan on letting both of my florida representatives know that i won't be voting for them in the next election. they are either clueless on economic matters and the future of this country, or they just don't care.
