Janet Napolitano says she supported the DREAM Act as the governor of Arizona, and she supports it now — as secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The DREAM Act is a bill that would give undocumented students who want to go to college or serve in the military opportunities to become legal U.S. residents.
Napolitano was asked about the bill Wednesday during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in Washington on immigration and border enforcement.
“This is one of those areas that everyone wants the immigration laws enforced, but also deal with the human issues that arise here. … The DREAM Act is a good piece of legislation and a good idea,” Napolitano said.
Instead of kicking these illegals out as they should, they seek to further legitimize their presence by handing them opportunities. These people are criminals and they do not have rights, nor do they deserve any special favors. When are the government nitwits going to realize this?
Wasn't Napolitano the governor of Arizona at one time? No wonder Arizona has a huge problem with illegals. With her at the helm she probably opened the door and welcomed them in.

Actually; despite Nappy still being governor here; our employer sanctions law was passed (has withstood every court challenge thus far) and Sheriff Joe has become quite the hero to us anti illegal immigration types.

No surprise here. It really doesn’t matter if she supports it; it won’t pass. The DREAMies will be whining ad infinitum. Perhaps one day it will finally register.

Even if she supports it, it will take an IMMENSE amount of support for it to pass especially when the unemployment rate has reached 9% as of now.
