In this great economy as an unemployed IT worker. I actually found a job at a pizza chain. No immigrant employees there and they were all really good workers and was impressed that they could have fun with each other but still work hard. It was a very pleasant work environment.
I like the propoganda that always blames the lazy americans. Americans are the most productive workers in the world. We take fewer vactions etc.... than anyone else in the world. Maybe the hiring manager should of done a better job hiring employees.
And you could speak to one another in English and I'll bet not one co-worker threw dirty tp into the trash can or other culural traits brought with them from their homeland.
I'll tell you this, take a worker, any worker and threaten them with removing them from their house if they don't do as you say and I guarantee that they will bust their $ss and not complain about it.

So when High School White and Black Kids were dominating the workforce of the fast food industry 30 years ago the quality of the workers were better than the immigrants that are doing the job today?
The unemployment rate in the late 1970s in my small town was moderate and there were plenty of jobs for the kids.

At least the kids back then spoke English.

Saying that some illegals work harder than Americans, or saying that some Americans work harder than illegals is an accurate statement. Saying that ALL illegals work harder is an extremely prejudice and racist statement.
I think you are correct, the reason illegal aliens are allowed here is because they are good for the U.S. economy, and our businesses. And the U.S. is fortunate to have leaders that understand this.
I bet they would be good at putting tires on new cars at GM...and do it a lot cheaper...and they could screw on those doors too. Not much brain power need for those jobs.. Give me time here and we will all be able to afford a new GM car...

So when illegals take over all these kinds of jobs for depressed wages and put all Americans that had these jobs out of work, who exactly will buy the products they make?
As a matter of fact...........yes, it was! The quality of the workers was better in two very important aspects.
1. When an actual American seeking a job showed a Health Screening Card or presented evidence that they were in good health, most importantly free of TB, the person doing the hiring could be sure that the majority of the time the information they presented was legit. You see, this was back before the cottage industry of document fraud sprang up in order to accommodate all the illegals with God only knows what diseases who need a document that says they are in good health in order to work in the food industry.
2. When actual Americans were hired, they typically were familiar with the standards of personal hygiene of a developed country. They knew to cover their mouth if they coughed, stay home if they had the flu, wash their hands after using the restroom, etc. They also had enough science background to understand why food could only be kept on the warmer for so long, why food that must be kept cold needs to be at a specific temperature, etc. Reasonably educated employees= improved food safety for the public.
Why do you think we are always having some food borne disease outbreak of some sort or another? This did not go on 30 years ago and if anything the technology to keep food safe has improved! It is like we are regressing.
The inside story of the mass of illegal and legal immigrants to America is that the powerful business interests, and the federal government that is owned lock stock and barrel by these interests, have decided that there is not enough hard working white and black native born workers to do the dirty nasty low paying jobs that need to be done to keep America moving. So they have made the necessary arrangements to allow millions of illegal aliens to come into the country.
If they really wanted to, the government could basically eliminate most illegal immigration and see to it that the illegals already here can not find a regular job and force them to leave due to lack of economy opportunity. They do not do this because the business community tells the powers that be in Washington that they need the illegal workers to keep their businesses going. They have stated quietly (off the record) that a large number of the native born Americans, who did this type of work historically, want to much money, are lazy and harder to handle than the hard working illegal mostly Hispanic workforce. So illegal immigration is allowed to continue.
To sell this plan they work with friends in the media, in academic circles, and with Hispanic groups to convince America that any limitation on illegal immigration is anti Hispanic and anti immigrant, so the people opposing the illegal aliens are sold as racists. That way they can quickly shut off debate and the flow of cheap illegal workers can continue to come in and stay.
From an employers perspective there may be some truth to their belief that American born residents are not suited for many of these jobs and the only people that will do this type of work effectively for the type of wage offered are illegal aliens. What the employer does not understand or care about is the terrible social problems their need for these illegal immigrants have caused.
