A typical trait of 'Latin' culture; the elite tends to look down on those folks who work with their hands.

Example: one reason that Argentines of Italian heritage are so affluent there is they had no issue working in the trades----------unlike the Argies of Spanish background.

That was true also in the days of slavery. The slave masters, the plantation owners never complained about slavery. It was the average every day Americans who didn't believe in slavery.

Self slavery, the come here to volunteer into slavery. Odd concept.

Just think if these millions marched in their home lands to fix their own house vs running into our back door demanding we renovate our house to accommodate them.

It all depends on what the definition of "Mexican Americans" is.

Some people consider that group to consist of those people who lived in what is now the USA from back before it was part of the USA - descendents of Spaniards that came up through Mexico and settled here, and also descendents of people who came directly from Spain to what is now the SW USA and never stepped foot in Mexico.

And most people would add in the "chicanos", people whose ancestors dribbled in here over the decades. Cesar Chavez for example -- he wasn't an immigrant, he never lived in Mexico, he was a third generation American. And that bunch that came during the Mexican Revolution -- the Porfirio Diaz government supporters.

Is a Mexican American someone whose family might have lived here 400 years? Or 100 years? And is also someone who got smuggled over the border yesterday and gave birth last night also a Mexican American?

Speaking English is part of passing the naturalization process so when asked in English a question and they cannot answer them that's a pretty dang good reason to suspect the are Illegal, step two, do you have ID, no? That narrows it even more. At that point I don't even know why they ask for insurance because we'd have better chances at winning the lottery.

This PC nonsense is just that, nonsense. They should be given care then straight into the back of a BP truck until they can either come up with documents or a ride to the border.

Illegal aliens need to be in jail cells prior to their deportation--------not cluttering up our hospitals unless for true emergency care.
