If this is the case, and it's that easy, I wonder why there are still so many who are not legalized? If amnesty never passes, and said individuals never apply/qualify for citizenship, then they will NEVER become legalized.
Because they keep coming in. The ones that came 30 years ago are no longer illegal aliens.
This an internet poll so it would not be legitimate no matter what I do, for a poll to be legitimate the polled individuals must not be volunteers.
Second, judging from the fact that people (a great majority) tend to have kids, and kids born in the U.S. are citizens, and citizen are able to ask for their relatives at 21 years of age. The option of them not being able to turn legal at some point is somewhat of an improbability, hence, not included in the poll. At some point, their kids will legalize them, even if they are repatriated/self-deport.
The option "they will never be legalized" would be a fictitious option.
Correcting the fallacious misinterpretation of the 14th amendment to end the anchor baby industry abuse would put a dent in your theory wouldn't it?
If discussing those illegals who were amnestied; you are correct............somehow I doubt that 100% of them from 1979 were.
So you would argue that someone who has been here for 30 years, has no family that could sponsor him? I doubt that this would be the case for most of those immigrants.

Only for the ones to be born, I highly doubt that even in the slim chance that the 14th amendment gets "re-interpreted", that it would be retroactive. I don't know if that's even possible, since laws are never retroactive.

Not always.
Sometimes a crime committed prior to the law pertaining to it being changed will result in said conviction being expunged.
If discussing the ca. 7-12 million here----------not in our lifetimes.
Don't bet your life on it , your Congress, House and Senate behind our backs are already voting for this to happen , while all the time smoke screening us into thinking that they are fighting to keep them out >!!!
Get ready there comming back!
