They have more babies and import their friends and family. Next is the dude selling oranges and fruit on street corners. Then the dude upgrades and gets a truck to sell his stuff out the back of the truck. Then he upgrades more and they open little stores with products they like to buy. Then you get your first Spanish language TV station. Then you look up and see signs in Spanish. When you see signs in Spanish, have spanish radio stations, and tv channels that's when you realize it's too late. You're being enculturated.
based on their wits. and people who readily employ them.
but are we talking about illegal immigrants or hispanics. they are not the same thing.
did the OP mean illegals who are hispanic and move to "anglo" areas?
some prefer to be away from latinos. they acculturate much faster. they assimilate much faster. then they go back and visit their buddies and impress them with their english skills...

If those folks came here legally; that would not bother me much at all............especially by the second US born generation, said minority would be 100% American.
Had I lived in W Va as an adult; my original surname would have been flagged as 'Hispanic' despite my having no Spanish heritage----------and, I am Nordic White in looks.
Why would somebody who is half Irish and half Hungarian have a Spanish sounding last name ?
AFAIK for Spanish-speaking, campesino illegals it's on a city by city basis. Some cities have populations of illegals of Mexican and Central American descent even if the state does not overall.
And then there are illegals of other backgrounds who overstay visas, etc. They live in areas depending on their national origin and skills.

You can easily get by in Texas or California without ever knowing a single word of English and still live a comfortable normal life, but it would be much harder to do so in states like Ohio and Wisconsin.
I wonder if illegals from South of the border who live in these overwhelmingly lily White English speaking Anglo states ever regret moving there and think that they should have moved to California or Texas instead where there they would be surrounded by alot more members of their raza.
By marriage? Also some people confuse similar sounding names as of Spanish origin due to ignorance of other origins, such as Italian, etc.

There are Hispanics (mainly of Spanish or Italian origin) who are very pale. AFAIK Argentina is mainly Spanish and Italian descent, so the residents have pale skin tones. However it would be harder/more ignorant to confuse someone with, specifically, a campesino or someone of campesino heritage from Mexico or El Salvador.

FYI: there is no Hispanic race--------Argentina is 97% White.
Although; in practice, 'Hispanic' or 'Latino' are code words for Mestizos who cling to an archaic form of Spanish culture------------which is now obsolete in Spain proper.
Alfred Molina; the English actor would not be counted as Hispanic despite his partial Spanish lineage.
Anti......This is a major issue with me...Many states have passed laws designed to reduce the impact of illegals in their communities, only to have those laws undermined by either the local, state or federal authorities to the point that the laws become meaningless as well as costly.
Prop 187 here in California is a classic example....
We can pass all of the laws we want....but if they are all neutered, declawed or rendered useless.....they serve no purpose other than window dressing, much like the unenforced laws that are are already in existence....at all levels.
Regards.
