If the illegal aliens and their advocacy groups win this one, it will make Americans love them even more. Especially if we have to pay an additional $1 million to the Guatemalan government to cover the costs of his care for the rest of his life.

From the article:
"But hospitals that receive Medicare reimbursements are required to provide emergency care to all patients and must provide an acceptable discharge plan once the patient is stabilized."

One would think that sending him HOME was the most acceptable discharge plan for an illegal alien. I'm thinking so.

This is a jury trial, not a bench trial. If the illegal alien wins this case, is because the jury, composed mainly (if not exclusively) of Americans, decided that they were right.

Sales and Propery, and the income taxes withheld from the ones that are not working under the table (9 billion according to the IRS? I might be wrong) yet do not get to fill an income tax return.

I don't really blame them for what they did. They couldn't just take care of him forever.

But they could have called ICE and waited for the person to go through the regular deportation process. I think the issue at hand is that the hospital removed the individual (charter flight) from the country, instead of the corresponding authorities.
