President Obama, attending a North American summit with the leaders of Mexico and Canada, vowed Monday to pursue comprehensive U.S. immigration reform later this year with a view to enacting legislation in 2010 that would provide a "pathway to citizenship" for millions of illegal immigrants in the United States.

Amnesty during what is predicted to be a jobless recovery while the federal budget deficit continues to increase? Great thinking.
Well, why not? He's already receiving so much love due to his wonderful health care plan, сrар & tax plan, and frugal spending so even more bullсrар wouldn't be that bad.

Translated from Obama speak reform means= We are so sorry for all of your problems, all of which without a doubt are all the USA's fault. We therefore will assume much of your debt and grant amnesty to as many of your citizens illegally in the USA as you would like.

During the senatorial debate on the 2007 amnesty bill, some senators including Grassley & Hutchison argued that such a policy should be considered in order to mitigate any criticisms of the bill being labeled as amnesty but, of course, many liberal Democrats opposed it and later the bill inevitably went down in flames.

In 1986 a bill was passed, that there would never be another amnesty, after Reagan signed the bill into law.
Just like the rest of the Constitution, this newly elected administration, is trying its best to go around any and all laws on the books, to push an agenda on the American people, that is unconstitutional.

We've been doing that for decades and it does not seem to have made much difference.
