That's a shame. What is the use of a federal law if individual states can interpret it according to their needs and/or politics?

I was always under the impression that federal law meant just that; country-wide.

I don't understand the reasoning behind only being able to check new hires under e-verify. Does anyone know?

The way I was always taught, is the states had more power than that the federal government. State laws could not be unconstitutional.

The Medical Marijuana State laws, is a perfect example.
