If a Contracter has to produce a license upon request why wouldn't the people working on the project have to produce documents showing they have a legal right to be working on that project? We aren't suggesting two sets of laws are we, one for Illegal law breakers and one for tax paying Americans?

Exactly. When my brothers and I were in the drywall business we had to be able to produce proof of insurance, tax ID, and business license at a moments notice.
How is it unfair to expect subcontractors to do the same? In this case Illegals and day workers.

Because PC rules. It would be discrimination or racial profiling to request documents from them. MALDEF or the ACLU would even file a lawsuit on their behalf, because it would be a violation of their civil rights, or other such nonsense.

That's my point, we do indeed have 2 sets of laws in the US. One set coddles criminal Aliens.

If this were the sole criteria:

"The County Commissioner asked the woman how she knew that these men were in fact illegal aliens. She replied, that she could tell just by looking at them. Who else is going to stand on the street 10 hours a day and try to catch the eye of potential employers who drive by? She went on to say, 'They are dark Mexican Indians and do not speak English. Can't the police stop them and ask for identification?'",

then it would be racial profiling.

They are hiding behind the race card while contractors cannot. Like I said, two sets of laws.

Read the OP and my post. I said IF this the sole criteria than it is racial profiling.

It's still bunk, if you pull into a home depot lot and there are zero white or black guys?

They are off limits because they are all Hispanic? ----> race card.

Read the OP...again...clearly you aren't getting it. If the means are based on race, then it's racist regardless of the race. It's not bunk, you just didn't take the time to read (or just don't get it).

Actually they should be arrested for lottering. When arrested they should be forced to prove their identity and provide green cards.
