APPLETON – A Grand Chute man charged in the stabbing death of a roommate and the attempted killing of another will be deported to Mexico rather than stand trial.
Gerardo Galvan-Gomez, 65, has been at the Winnebago Mental Health Facility since November 2008 after a judge ruled he was not mentally competent to stand trial on charges of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
“It is disconcerting that we are essentially dropping him on to the streets of Mexico knowing that he is in such dire circumstances,” Geary said. “He has been here since 1974 and never before this got into any trouble.”

Don't worry he will be back before they can say ' illegal criminal '. Thats why they let him out so he could get out of jail free and get back into USA .

Well, that's reassuring, now isn't it? I mean, he only stabbed one guy to death and tried to kill another one. I guess we are supposed to feel grateful that he did not kill even more people between 1974 and 2009. Good Lord.

Remember, he is entitled to at least 9 more deportations before he reaches the national average.
He did commit murder on American soil, but the guy he killed and the guy he attempted to kill, were both illegals themselves, living together and working at the same restaurant.
Had it been an American he killed, I don't think they would have been so quick to let him go.
