TIJUANA, Mexico (Reuters) – The United States has severely restricted access to a spot on the Mexican border where families and lovers divided by illegal immigration could unite briefly to hold hands or kiss through a fence.
In a move to stop undocumented migrants and the passing of narcotics through gaps in the U.S.-Mexico border fence between San Diego and Tijuana, the United States has fortified the area with a second fence to tighten security.
"We will find a way to see each other," said shop assistant Carmen, 29, whose husband lives illegally in Los Angeles and who used to meet regularly at the old park fence. "I can't cross into the United States, I've been deported three times."

If her husband cared so much for her he would leave L.A. and join her in Mexico where they can be together and have a life together as a husband and wife should. And they keep telling us about those strong family values.

What do you want to bet he has another “wife” here?
They should be green carding everyone on the american side.

Juan roberto Lopez made it a point to vist his wife at the fence every month. This wife not to be confused with his wife on the American side of the fence and mother of 2 of his children. His mexican wife was mother to 3 of his children. Yes Juan felt blessed. He was living the dream. By day he worked with his cousins in an autobody shop. By night he had his own business which required him to meet with his mexican wife who had a package for him. He made more from this monthly package than he did in 3 months from chopping cars.
Then the gringos ruined it for him. They built a second fence and the risk of ICE, ATF and the border patrol had made deliveries impossible. Because of the lost trade he could not support his 2 wives and a mistress. What was the point of coming here if he could not live his dream? He wasn't alone. His cousins all had the same complaint.
