I wonder what dirt they have on Dobbs that they used to blackmail him into this flip which puts him in line with corporatism.

Now, Dobbs tells Latinos: "I am one of your greatest friends"...

Watch this news interview in which he admits he wants to LEGALIZE illegal immigrants.

Video: Lou Dobbs to Latinos: I'm one of your 'greatest friends' Video
I listened to the video and didn't hear him say 'greatest friends', although it was displayed in text at the bottom.

What people who 'hate' Lou Dobbs fail to realize is that he is NOT against mexicans, hispanics, latinos, etc., whatever they want to be called. The reason he has pushed for people to come to the US legally is so they won't be taken advantage of by businesses looking for cheap labor so they can accumulate more profits. When people enter the country illegally they are setting themselves up to be semi-slaves, and that is one of the things that angers Dobbs.

well its kinda like basketball (which i am lousy at) if their team (21 million) comes down to your court (usa) and stands under your hoop, something ugly(amnesty) is going to happen any second.

Lou Dobbs has also railed against certain "Legal Immigration" situations such as H1B visa's. I believe he is playing politics as to not alienate anyone. Even President Obama doesn't think granting amnesty is a pressing priority. The large point is that Lou would be replacing one of the most pro-amnesty Senator in the Congress. And if John McCain falls to J.D. Hayworth, you can forget Amnesty ever happening.

I bet nobody in the "leftwing media" is going to call him a FLIP-FLOPPER

Talk about a flip-flop,
going from having a TV show completely dedicated to promoting "Get illegals out of the US" to "Welcome illegal to the US"

Do you actually believe they will deport them? Imagine the outrage from pro-illegals. We would be ripping apart families.

I don’t care who supports granting amnesty to “certain” illegals. I watched Lou Dobbs on CNN; I didn’t worship him. Illegal aliens have committed fraud and theft, in addition to violating our immigration laws; not to mention, a variety of heinous crimes. Any bill absolving them of their criminal behavior, and granting them a path to citizenship, will never get my support.

If they truly want to “earn” their citizenship, let them return home and enter this country through legal channels. They can register prior to leaving, including being fingerprinted. They can then apply from their countries of origin, behind others already in line. Of course, they would still need to be fined; and anyone who used a fake or stolen SSN, or evaded taxes, would be ineligible for reentry. U.S. citizens cannot commit fraud, theft, or tax evasion with impunity, so why should illegals?

The entire bill is a sham.
Even those that are LEGAL and dont pay their child support or have domestic violence, not to mention those that have violent criminal records, get deported. I dont see how or why they would LEGALIZE those that in the country with that kind of record.

Even in the 80's amnesty, there were very strick policies and regulations to follow. If one did not meet the criteria, they would not be legalized. In this current proposal, there is a requirement to learn English. I also dont see how they would legalize those without a job or supported by their employeed spouse. There are many reasons people would get denied Benicar. There is never a "blanket" amnesty.

And this interview is from November 20th 2009. He clearly states he is going to Florida to think about his future in the media and politics. Also I have seen parts of this interview in Telemundo.
I didnt see the whole thing but I was told by close friends who did watch it that Maria Elena, news anchor, asked what Lou Dobbs wife thought about what his situation and position with illegal immigration at CNN. At the end, Maria Elena stated,"please say hello to your wife for me". As if she was insinuating she knew something.

Lou Dobbs is nothing but a politician and he is trying to play his cards right.
