I certainly hope the FOP wins this case.

Quote:
Montgomery County and the Fraternal Order of Police union could be headed to court over the county police department's policy for handling illegal immigrants, according to the union's lawyer.

FOP attorney Paul Stein said the county's policy was "unconstitutional" and dangerous to the county's police officers and residents.

The policy "on its face and in application limits our police officers from communicating with ICE until some horrible or horrendous crime occurs, such as first-degree murder, multiple murders, abduction of a 16-year-old for immoral purposes, first-degree sex assault," Stein said.

Needless to say: all peace officers in the United States of America should be deputized as enforcers of immigration law by default.

It is unconstitutional for them to not enforce the laws of this nation.
Local and State police capture and hold federal fugitives and criminals all the time, because they would be in big trouble if they just let them go and say they are not our problem, that is a federal matter.

Not here in Arizona anymore: the illegals have been disappearing and, needless to say, I 'smear' the reps of same all the time. It pisses off a few (mostly liberal but some conservative) people..............oh well

The problem is that they are just leaving states like Arizona who are heavy into enforcement and moving on to states less so. Of course, some are leaving the country because of the economy also.

I don't care why they leave, as long as they leave...and preferably never come back!
