We don't need illegals to survive as a nation.

True, America was doing just fine 50 years ago when we did not have such a large population of illegal immigrants. Our immigration laws all went downhill after 1965.

What happens to the employers whose entire business model is based on paying illegal aliens off the books, not following overtime rules or safety standards or finding scared and desparate workers who would take just about any job, no matter how nasty, just for money? They will need a new group of workers that can be exploited.
Who will take the jobs that Americans do not want to do when the previously illegal aliens are now legal?

Why the next set of illegals that enter the country after amnesty.
We had an amnesty once already and look a the next flock of illegals..20 mil strong. You think there will be no more illegals if amnesty passes ?
There will ALWAYS be illegals..America is the land of plenty and we don't bother checking their paperwork either.

We are not longer a land of plenty. We are broke. What paperwork? Illegals don't have any or at least not any legitimate ones.

The pro-illegal crowd thinks we can just print more money and everything will be okay.

I say we do what the Romans did, not that they had a bad immigration problem, but, kick all the illegals out if we find them.
Get the poor to work in government programs, roads and all the jobs the illegals used to do.
Sure, they get paid more so you can hire less, but in the long run, 500,000+ jobs opening up to actual Americans might help the economy a bit.

We need to find politicians that are willing to stand up and do what they were elected to do, serve the will of the people.
The will of the people is -- we're tired of law breakers that enter the country illegally. If you're here illegally, you should be deported, period.
We need to institute a national ID card that contains a microchip ID# that's embedded into the card in an encrypted format. There are microchip readers that can scan & read a microchip ID number from as far away as 3 feet.
The national ID Card would be issued to CITIZENS that are legal. Then, a law would need to be passed which would enable Police Officers to stop/detain anyone and ask for their National ID Card.
If you're not carrying it, it'd be a violation of the law. The reason behind that is because an ILLEGAL isn't going to have a national ID card and also wouldn't be able to forge one either.
There wouldn't be the screams of "they stopped me because I'm x_____ color" because they'd lawfully be required to stop/detain & ask for the ID Cards whenever they felt a situation warranted it.
White folks would be stopped/detained & asked (could be illegal Irish, Canadian, Aussies, etc.)
Black folks would be stopped/detained & asked (could be illegal Haitians, Africans, etc.)
Hispanic folks would be stopped/detained & asked (could be illegal Mexican, El Salvadorian, etc.)
Asian folks would be stopped/detained & asked (could be illegal Korean, Japanese, Indian, etc.)
People would need to accept this minor inconvenience in exchange for a border that is protected and a country that no longer has an illegal immigration issue. They'd need to understand that being stopped/detained & asked isn't any form of racial profiling, it's a matter of national security. I think any decent American would be fine with that.
As far as the illegals go, once they're identified they need to be tagged (as in microchiped) and then dropped back off in their country. This is our country and if they don't want to be microchiped, then don't break the law by entering the country illegally.
Since microchips can be read from a distance, it'd be possible to put scanners up along the border. Those scanners would pick up any microchiped illegals and could alert border officers that they were out there. The illegal aliens information would be stored in a national database that could be accessed by any police officer or legal official anywhere in the country via a microchip scanner.
The scanners are about as big as a cell phone and aren't that expensive to purchase. There's a company right here in IL that makes the microchips (which have been given FDA approval for use in humans) and the handheld scanners.
Putting up a traditional fence along the border isn't possible in some areas because the terrain is too rugged to support a fence that couldn't be penetrated. However, there's some "taser" technology that exists that could be used as a fence (like a barrier that can't be seen) and it'd stop them right in their tracks. One ZZZZZap and I guarantee it'd be the last time that particular illegal tried to enter into the country illegally.
This type of fence wouldn't be able to be penetrated. They can't short circuit it, they can't use wire cutters to cut holes to crawl through it, they can't dig under it, or climb over it, or go around it.
This type of fence would even be great around prisons too!
Now, we'd be short on "border patrol" because of all of the cut backs. But, if there's less money going to support illegals in this country -- we're saving money and that could be used to fund hiring more border patrol agents.
Lots of ex-cons have trouble finding jobs after getting out of prison, they'd be perfect for border patrol and would probably love the opportunity to be given a job in order to start their lives over with a fresh start.
Anyway, just my two cents. I doubt any politician would even consider it though.

I agree - I doubt I'm the only one angry about the illegal ass-kissing. My state loses upwards of $10 billion a year to these service-stealing scum. Also in Los Angelese it's freaking HARD to get a job if you don't speak Spanish - talk about discrimination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Democracy stopped working when people realized it would work for them.
Some politicians go to Washington D.C. as average Americans (mind you politicial positions were never meant to be a career) and come back with millions of dollars in the bank.
They don't do what's best anymore, they do what they do to get re-elected.
