The city of Lancaster is mandating all businesses use the E-Verify program to help determine whether new employees are legally able to work in the United States. The website is run by the government using records from the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security to crack down on illegal immigrants. Esther Aguirre supports using E-Verify because her clients often present her with false identification. You ask in an application, 'Can you provide proof of citizenship?' They say, 'Yes,' Aguirre explained. And they do bring it to you, but a lot of times you ask is it real or not real? That is the question.
