They claim that illegals cost more then they put in THIS IS totally false. Immigrants Pay More in Taxes Than They Use in Services Over Their Lifetimes: Depending on skills and level of education, each immigrant pays, on average, between $20,000 and $80,000 more in taxes than he or she consumes in public benefits.

Illegal immigrants benefit the economy in many ways, and I've included links so you know I'm not making this up.

1. They pay BILLIONS in taxes, and many don't claim taxes. Those taxes help many things like Social Security, Medicare, local schools and even road maintenance.

Illegal Immigrants pay BILLIONS in taxes every year

2. Their hard work and determination helps U.S. companies and farms stay competitive in today's fierce market. They work very hard and for low wages, and this help companies make record breaking profits, and that allows them to keep their prices low. U.S. farms will not operate without illegal immigrant workers, and that means more farms will shut down or move to Mexico where the workers are without immigration issues.

3. They also fill the gap in the labor workforce. Even if every American was employed, there would still be a lot of jobs not filled.

They may be illegal but we still need them

4. They pump BILLIONS into our economy as consumers. Illegals are just like you and I, they buy houses, cars, cloths, food, electronics, music and the list goes on and on. Hispanic illlegals are part of the Hispanice Purchasing Power in America that's expected to reach $1TRILLION by 2011.

5. Illegal Immigrants have been found to be a GOOD mortgage risk. Even with these bad times, they are able to find a way to pay their monthly payment, but at the same time we are adding more of these homes to the foreclosure list by deporting them.

6. Not only does the economy benefit from illegals, so do the native workers.

Gaps in the workforce? Have you seen the unemployment rates lately?

As for your assertation that we need illegals for affordable clothing and food.......I do believe that is the same arguement used for child labor and slavery. Somehow the US was able to survive without either.

THANK AN ILLEGAL!!!
WOW !!..Quite a write-up. If illegals are THAT beneficial to our society, I'd think we'd want to triple their numbers....then we'd REALLY benefit.

I hope your post doesn't get into the wrong hands. A lot of people want to give amnesty to illegals. BAD idea, I can see that now...give an illegal amnesty, and suddenly he's no longer an illegal; no more illegal, thus no more benefit, from that individual...he simply becomes the newest disgruntled American.

So how do you recommend we keep our illegals coming, continue to reap the benefits from having them here, make sure they STAY illegal, and still stay on their 'good side'? Seems like a pretty 'tall order' to me..

If 20 million illegals benefit us, imagine what we could do with FIFTY million!....

Have you considered OTHER beneficial groups? How about re-instituting slavery (we could make it voluntary, for a fixed period...'starving Third-Worlders' could sign up for a 7-year 'hitch'))...how about prison labor? (a month off your sentence for a month's work)....maybe child labor (instead of 'hanging out at the mall' these kids could 'hang out at the factory'). We could even get the guys off Death Row ! ("your life, for your labor"); I would imagine ALL these groups would help our economy, in some way or other..and they'd be CHEAP !! We could practically make 'regular' workers obsolete, if we tried hard enough. Think of the savings!

Wow....I'm speechless.

You are new to this forum, so it’s understandable that you wouldn’t realize EVERYTHING you have posted has been debunked countless times. Tell me, how do your sources know what illegals contribute if we don’t even know who they are?

In case you don’t know, there is no separate line item on tax returns for “illegal aliens.” Nor is there a special category for illegal aliens on mortgage or car loans, or credit applications. So, I ask again, how does anyone know if or what illegals contribute?

On the other hand, we DO know how many hospitals and clinics “immigrants” have closed. We DO know how much their children are costing our school systems. We DO know how many give birth without paying a dime. We DO know how much taxpayers must pay for their incarceration. The list goes on. . . .

While you’re researching illegal immigration, Google Grady Hospital clinic closed; immigrant births at Parkland Hospital; (insert state) wants feds to reimburse for illegal immigrant incarceration costs; illegal immigrant drunk driver kills (insert child, family, man, woman); hospital discharges illegal immigrant; costs of educating illegal immigrant children; illegal immigrants cost (insert state) millions; illegal immigrants bankrupting _______. The list goes on. . . .

NO THANKS!!!

Another hearty "thank you" for.......

"It costs California taxpayers $40 million annually to house inmates in Monterey County prisons who are in the country illegally or whose immigration status is in question"

"As it stands, the state gets $112.5 million in federal aid annually through the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program. If combined with the $880 million Schwarzenegger wants, it would come close to covering the state's $1.1 billion cost"

$40 million tab for undocumented prisoners in Monterey County | thecalifornian.com | The Salinas Californian

After all, credit where credit is due....
