I do not have angelic views at all, am very scared when reading about "black tar" trafficking or acts such as the one mentioned here, but let's keep in mind immigrants are comprised of good and bad people...
Of course but these aren't "immigrants" we are talking about. This was about illegal aliens.

I know that there were metal statues/monuments and works of art that people, organizations and schools have erected to commemorate different events/people which have disappeared in the past 10 years also.

Illegals stealing them for scrap metal. One turned up at a scrap yard and the owner refused to accept it. The men were arrested.

Deputies found Cruz Mario Carnacion, 37, and Jose Luis Trejo-Yanez in possession of more than 500 7-inch spikes, which weigh about a half-pound each and can be sold for scrap.

Davis called the pair's actions “incredibly selfish,” saying the missing spikes could have caused a train to derail.

“We've never heard of it, we've never seen it where people are actually pulling up railroad spikes,” he said. “This act of theft could have easily had catastrophic consequences had a train derailed in this area.”

The pair pulled most of the spikes directly from the railroad ties, though some were lying loose along the tracks, Davis said.

Deputies immediately called officials with Norfolk Southern to report the theft and the possible threat to the integrity of the tracks, he said.

Norfolk Southern Public Relations Manager Robin Chapman said he could not comment on the condition of the tracks.

Chapman said thieves often walk tracks to collect loose railroad spikes to sell to scrap metal yards.

“One individual spike isn't worth that much scrap value, but you collect a quantity of them,” he said.

Carnacion and Trejo-Yanez were charged with felony conspiracy to damage railroad property, willful injury to railroad property and trespassing on railroad property.

The men did not give a permanent address and Henderson County's immigration program determined they had entered the United States illegally, Davis said.

They were each placed under a $25,000 bond and ordered held on Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers pending deportation proceedings.
They were just trying to better their lives, feed their children and improve their situation......just like always.

The solution is to GIVE them all the railroad spikes they want, that way they aren't forced into stealing them.

They are also stealing bronze urns from graves. Consequently, I routinely check the graves of my father, brother, and son. It’s a dirty shame. Clearly, nothing is off-limits, and nothing is sacred.

It is obvious what is going on here. The high fructose corn syrup industry has created overweight and lazy people who also want to illegally immigrate into the US. So they decided that walking was out of the question since ....well you know...all the HFCS and extra rolls on their tummies...so they decided to build a railroad from Mexico into the US. Taking a train here sure beats walking in the hot desert.

The problem is so bad here that they make you show a DL at the recycle center if it looks like it might be a possible theft. We get our blue bins raided by some of these clowns and it's theft. That money is supposed to go into the general fund. I don't know if they are illegal but they don't speak English and my hunting buddy usually tells them off in Spanish when he hears them ripping us off. We turned in a plate and as expected the Cop said it was traced to a resident who said he sold it. The Illegals buy beater cars with cash and don't register them once the registration expires. We also had a series of someone cutting off tags with a razor blade so I get that would get around the registration process.

This is why I am ok with the DL check points. It's the only way to clean up this trash.
