Yes, Health Care and Comprehensive Immigration Reform should be separate issues. However, they have become inextricably connected due to the threats from the Hispanic Caucus and other influential Latino groups and individuals to withdraw their support for the health care bill if President Obama does not take immediate action on the issue of so-called immigration reform. You may choose to deny it, but those are the facts. These are typical pro-illegal strong-arm tactics.
