Immigration Reform Will Bankrupt Us With Obamacare

What we have been saying for a long time now. I am almost to the point where I will say "Oh well, watch what you wish for, now live with it".

Quote:
The Obama plan is to shove this health care takeover down the throats of the American people and then rapidly ram through immigration reform using the Slaughter Rule tactic if necessary.

Upon passage of such immigration legislation, 11, 15 or 20 (no one really knows) million formerly illegal aliens are instantly and automatically qualified for all provisions and benefits of Obamacare.

Of course, these costs are not included in any projections from any federal agency.

Law professor William Jacobsen at his blog, Legal Insurrection, on the approaching debacle of immigration reform

While there is no legislative text, as described by Schumer and Graham, the key is that illegal aliens automatically would gain legal status if they followed certain steps:

( this is Pathway to Amnesty-Not even proposed)
For the 11 million immigrants already in this country illegally, we would provide a tough but fair path forward. They would be required to admit they broke the law and to pay their debt to society by performing community service and paying fines and back taxes. These people would be required to pass background checks and be proficient in English before going to the back of the line of prospective immigrants to earn the opportunity to work toward lawful permanent residence.
Assuming the eventual legislation followed this path, the key point is that illegal aliens automatically would be turned into legal aliens

This post is to all the folk that follow this thread and are confused in that Comprehensive Immigration Reform CIR is the same thing as Amnesty.

The Anti-Ilegal immigration group believe the two are link so much, that Amnesty is the only option of Immigration Reform.

Mr. Jacobsen in his blog...already proclaims Immigration Reform a "debacle". He goes on to say..."while there is NO legislative text" goes on to give the defenition of Path way to Amnesty.

Mr Jacobsen is right if Amnesty is offered then those illegal aliens that quailfy would become citizens and then be eligble for Heath care Insurance wether "Obamacare" passes or not. Conversely, if Health Care Reform passes and Amnesty is not offered, Illegal aliens will not be covered under "Obamacare"; those are the facts.

Health Care Reform and Immigration Reform are not linked. And Comprehensive Immigration Reform does not equal Amensty.

If CIR ASAP is not amnesty, please provide the punitive measures included in this bill. If there is no punishment, it is indeed amnesty. Paying a $500 fine (installments) is not punishment, it’s a joke. Illegals send more than that to their countries of origin on a monthly basis. How are they being punished for years of violating our laws?

It really doesn't matter anyway what you call it. Amnesty is just a word like any other word but the bottom line is that the proposed CIR will allow millions of illegal aliens to stay in this country and become legal rather then making them go home and wait their turn in line behind those already waiting in their homelands to come here. It is totally unfair and rewards them for breaking our immigration laws.

again Comprehesive Immigration Reform is a title given to ANY immigration reform bill.

When Congress deals with BP agents, Visas, E verfy, border fence, Purchasing of vehicals for the BP, or any other legeslation dealing with immigration, wether legal or illegal are all written into CIR legislation.

You absolutely refuse to admit that the current so-called immigration reform bill is nothing but amnesty. Let’s stop playing games. The bill being proposed is titled CIR ASAP. By your own unwitting admission, it is indeed amnesty. It matters not what banner is used by illegal alien apologists, or any others. The BILL in Congress is CIR ASAP, period.
