More insanity. . .

Quote:
On Saturday, the Norfolk Police Department will conduct a seminar instructing those working in this country illegally on steps they can take when they feel they have been treated unfairly by their employers.

In the past year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have uncovered two separate document mills in Norfolk, which produced thousands of fake Social Security cards, as well as other forms of identification for illegal aliens.

Despite pleas from the public, Norfolk officials continue to ignore the issue of illegal immigration, even in the face of increasing crime attributed to the city’s growing illegal alien population.

At first I thought this thread was about cops on duty helping illegal immigrants and I was going to mention that they are probably getting a cut of the drug money that comes from the South up on through Virginia and that gets shipped up North. But, I read the article and I have to say that I do think it is important to at least protect the health of illegal immigrants in the workplace by making sure employers aren't abusing their position. However, this all costs cities and counties, so once again, it would be beneficial if illegal immigration was reduced instead of continuing to go unchecked and having to do things like this.

Also, I think there is a psychological thing that comes with doing things like this for illegal immigrants. I don't mean to sound as though we should not care for our fellow man, but when illegal immigrants and the groups that advocate for them see that we are doing these things for them, they begin to think that what they are doing is OK, they become more comfortable and more hopeful that they will get even more and get things their way. I hate seeing this happen because we should be showing them that it is wrong and that we don't support their being here undocumented. I can see all these groups jumping for joy and smiling with pride when they see someone nice little US state or local government or politician taking care of them.

It sucks that these governments and groups do these things for illegal immigrants and we have little say at times.

Oh reallly? Many supporters of illegal immigration will try to make you believe that this just doesn't happen.
