Opponents of Arizona's new anti-immigrant law are calling for a boycott of the state's products - including the popular Arizona Iced Tea.
The problem: Arizona Iced Tea is actually brewed in New York.
"Dear Arizona: If you don't change your immigration policy, I will have to stop drinking your enjoyable brand of iced tea," Twittered Jody Beth in Los Angeles.
This is an example of how stupid a lot of the reaction is. That's our country for you though, so much is determined by the reactions of our population even if the reactions aren't backed by facts, knowledge or understanding of what it is that we get riled up about.
I think this is a splendid idea!....go after them where it hurts...Arizona Iced Tea, indeed. That'll teach 'em!
I'm thinking of going after Mexican drug cartels by boycotting Taco Bell. When these thugs see I'm serious, perhaps they'll mend their ways...(or at LEAST, 'make a Run for the Border').
I have a date palm in my garden. Seriously considering chopping it down, to show my disapproval of Arab extremists. Boy, will THEY feel foolish!!
