Sex-predator probe nabs 10,000 - 85% non citizens
Antonio Olivo
Chicago Tribune

mmigration authorities have arrested more than 500 sexual predators of children in Illinois during the last four years, the sixth-highest total in the country, under a special initiative called Operation Predator, federal officials plan to announce Thursday.

Nationwide, the investigation, run by the department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has nabbed about 10,000 child sex offenders, with 85 percent of those arrested found to be non-citizens, said ICE spokeswoman Gail Montenegro. That high percentage reflects the nature of the investigation, which focused on foreign nationals and targeted international Internet rings used by people in the U.S., she said.

More than 5,500 of those arrested around the country have been deported, she said.

In the Chicago area, those arrested included a former principal at Chicago International Charter School’s West Belden campus on the Northwest Side, an Aurora police officer, a Wilmette junior high school teacher and a Chicago pediatrician — all of them U.S. citizens who kept child pornography in their homes or solicited children for sex over the Internet, Montenegro said.

Non-citizens arrested included a 26-year-old Mexican national convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Moline and a Nicaraguan national in central Indiana convicted of molesting a 6-year-old girl.

Both men served prison time and were later deported, officials said.

Thanks for the info girl. However, it doesn't surprise me the quality of people they are. That's why Americans are going to enforce a massive deportation. With or without authorization.

I really hate to say it but that is just the child molestation portion. There have been over 45,000 killings in the last few years across this country that were commited by illegals. I feel like immigrants dont even need to be in their title, they are straight out ILLEGAL and need to be removed from this country. We all became Americans because our forefathers came from other countries but they did it legal and documented. Amnesty is NOT an option. I cant afford to pay for my own family without a struggle, let alone pay for an illegal family to stay here and then send their money out of the country. Why dont our legislators see that? Why dont more Americans speak up, I know we are not cowards. We fought for our freedoms here, why cant the illegals fight for their freedoms in their own country?

Don't hate to say it..that's the problem, nobody speaks the truth nowadays. Speak up. That's why we live here.

It is not that I hate to say it about speaking up.....it is that I hate to say it that there are even more problems on top of the child molestation. Americans need to speak up, I agree fully!

This may sound totally ridicules but why can't there be a class action lawsuit by American taxpayers against the American government that are spending our tax dollars to support illegals, for the impact on education for legal residents, for not upholding the established laws, for creating an environment for unfair competition in the market (a business that employees legal citizens and pays living wages cannot compete with a business that pays slave wages to illegals and is not burdened with all the taxes and insurances), for spending billions of our tax dollars on Homeland Security and then not protecting our borders first and foremost OUR FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE? Why can’t we do this?

If every person against illegal immigration kicked in ten dollars that would be enough to hire a multitude of lawyers because we are millions and millions.

Oh, you mean like the Pilgrims and those guys at Jamestown. Made sure they had all the proper papers from the Indians...made every effort to learn the local language and assimilate into the local culture. Yep, that's how our forefathers did it.

As usual they go all the way back to digging up the dinosaurs. Now what are we going to do about the different indian tribes that would war on each other for territory? Will we ever resolve that?

I don't know. Perhaps we could talk about chickens and eggs as well, but I don't see what it would have to do with the OP's claim that we all became Americans because our forefathers came here from foreign countries but did so the right way, when the plain fact is that the Pilgrims and Jamestown colonists, celebrated as they are in our national lore with holidays and gala celebrations that include all the pomp and ceremony of heads of state and visiting foreign monarchs, got here by exactly the same means and behaved in exactly the same way as those that the OP wishes now so vociferoulsy to object to. Can you say revisionist double standard?

I guess you have decided to overlook that the ancestors established America, formed a new country. Why don't you try to start from there. Many cultures fought for territories all over the world. You want to take issue with all of them and their beginnings or maybe it would be better to focus on current events, at least until someone comes up with a time machine.
