Nancy Pelosi asks the Catholic church to preach in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens « America's Watchtower

The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me and say, ‘We want you to pass immigration reform,’” disclosed Pelosi. “And I say, ‘But I want you to speak about it from the pulpit.’

“I want you to instruct your, whatever the communication is — the people, some of them, oppose immigration reform are sitting in those pews and you have to tell them that this is a ‘manifestation of our living the gospels,’” said Pelosi. “Our patron saint of San Francisco, St. Francis of Assisi, he said, ‘preach the gospel –sometimes use words.’ We need the words to be said because it isn’t being picked up automatically

She is such a political hack. She would stomp on any republican leader who did something even as remote as this.

I vote Democrat and I am as appalled as anyone else is by this. Yes, it is hypocrisy. Yes, it is a violation of church/state separation. But I always hated Pelosi and have said so many times. She's despicable.

This botox filled woman needs to be stripped of her position as Speaker of the House for this particular statement. Period. She swore to uphold the Constitution and the laws of this nation and meanwhile she is using her bully pulpit and requesting others use religious pulpits to tear down the laws of this country.

Impeach Pelosi now!

I have no problem with this as long as the priests, bishops, cardinals also tell the people in the pews that the church, from now on, will be responsible to pay for all the social and legal services provided to illegal immigrants.
