It's dry as a bone down here in midstate. The Illinois River in Peoria last night looked fine to me. I'll be back up in northern Illinois next weekend.

West Chicago got blasted. Not so much rain as the heavy winds which ripped the roof off of Uptime Parts LLC last week. 40 were injured and the place looks like a bomb hit it. Driving around town last week I took some side streets and was amazed at how much damage there was. Not so much structural damage as tree damage. Every street was ripped up and many roads closed down because of trees in the road. Really a sad scene, Ive never seen it that bad in my 30 years here. That was one bad mutha of a storm. Here is a pic I snapped of a tree in someones yard. Ill try and get more pics up later.

Good pic! In laws live on the fox in St. Charles township. They have evacced. they had 10 inches in their house. Now the mosquitoes are starting to come and it is starting to stink...
