I'll tell ya what however. If America can hold on long enough, and continue to reinvent itself the whole tide of jobs going overseas will reverse. I saw a TV news article about some companies that are closing their operations in India and others that were in China, and bringing the manufacturing back HERE to the U.S. opening and reactivating plants all across the country. (these particular one's were in Alabama and Georgia). Who would have thunk it possible. Our workers are apparently MORE productive and now with the rising pay and incomes occuring in China, they are NO LONGER as attractive a place to have a factory as they were over the previous decade. This would be a very fun development. Imagine all the tire manufacturing coming back here, and more of the electronics manufacturing jobs. It could be an amazing decade to come

Default Interesting

Hmmm, it might be called Aiken Avenue today, but I assure you it was an alley in the 60's and earlier. I don't know the exact year when the city finally razed the whole area and started to rebuild. The City has actually completed some very remarkable plans for the south side community from near downtown to Bartonville's boundary in the last few years.
