I haven't decided yet and Rockford Lutheran is on my list as is Rockford Christian and St. Rita's. We are considering Rockton as well which would allow us to save on education costs by going to public schools and the property taxes are nearly half of Rockfords. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm so anxious over such a big decision!

Yes, I would agree that Rockford Lutheran and Christian Life are the very best that Rockford has to offer, other than Keith Country Day.

My child has been in the Gloria Dei/Rockford Lutheran Jr./Sr. high school system for 7 years now and we've been very pleased. From talking to other parents I feel it's as good as Boylan (Catholic) and Rockford Christian. I've known parents whose kids have attended all 3 and felt Lutheran was the most challenging. We now have dual (4 year college) credit classes and a very dedicated teaching staff. We chose Lutheran over Boylan for high school because Lutheran kept/put my son in the honor's track ( Boylan wanted to place him in the regular track) and he's also gotten to actively play football. It's a well known fact that Boylan recruits and no child wants to sit on the bench because he's not the next Payton Manning. My son has done well at Lutheran and on his ACT and is looking into engineering schools for next year. His best friend had to transfer to the Rockford Public Schools (is in the honor track) and after one semester realized what he was missing.
