Need reviews, recommendations, precautions, warnings about retaining an employment lawyer in this area to defend a friend (employee plaintiff).

Cannot have conflicts with the University of Illinois (which would not be a defendant in the case, but would have employees that would likely be called to testify, etc.).

Am finding it difficult to help her find lawyers (by virtue of conflicts, not by merit of case) as an employee plaintiff- have been recommended to cast a wider net out to Danville, Monticello, etc.

Any insights would be appreciated!
Thanks!

You will probably have to go outside the area. If you are going to trial in Champaign the closest is probably Bloomington or Decatur. You're still looking at a driving distance of 80-100 miles per diem for the lawyer. .

I know a couple of very good lawyers in Peoria that I would trust.
