Do not move to Princeton Illinois if you are "dark completed". The kids at school and parents will literally run you out of town with racist comments constantly. It is so bad, the police and adults all partake in this racial bullying. Sorry Princeton...you know it.

Ignore Chicago for the moment. Illinois and Iowa look the same with its acres of corn and beans, plus livestock that is fenced and cross-fenced as far as the eye can see. Interspersed among counties are concrete ribbons, rivers, small ponds, railroad tracks, groves of trees, small farm towns and John Deere in the fields.

Illinois is blessed with 71,000 miles of township roads plus thousands of miles of interstate highways, and county, city, state, and federal routes that cross and criss-cross the state from border to border. In between all of it is the occasional pocket of one of more towns of greater size, and the rare city that dominates an area such as a state*capitol.

Where you live is dependent upon several factors. Age, skill, and wants. It is all about juggling. Do you want a slower pace where you hear birds and see the stars at night or not? Do you like tailgate parties at college football games? Do you want to live near frat row? Do you have a special needs child? Is medical care important. Is racial makeup a concern? Most Illinois farms towns are white by a large majority. Are you looking for Section 8 Housing or do you want to purchase a home? Are you looking for an town that offers upscale clothing styles from New York runway shows? Central Illinois can offer all of it.
Your finish line will determine where you start.

I am a college student going back to Blo-No for my second internship this summer.

As a student, I loved the area, but wouldn't pick it as a destination to spend the rest of my life. I've heard people say that Bloomington has the most restaurants per capita.

If you want to avoid college students you can by just staying away from the College Ave area, although, again as a student it has a lot of cool small stores.

I wouldn't pick a small town for graphic design or art.

A lot of people I knew had apartments fine for children. Just stay away from anything related to student housing or First Site(they mostly do student housing).

Your other questions all seem to rely on you, as I don't think moving will make much of a difference to you compared to your current location,
