I don't agree about paying $100,000 for his wife's secretary but all politicians do that. As for cutting spending doesn't matter who would have gotten in, both would have done it because it needs to be done. We need to cut things like welfare for illegals and baby makers because these people cost us a lot.

I don't think cutting services while asking taxpayers to foot the bill for a handmaiden for the millionaire governor's wife is a bright idea. Lawyer Michele Obama's salary was well over 6 figures when she took a pay cut to be FLOTUS.

I remember when Chicago Jim roared into town. One of the first things he did was give himself and his cronies a big fat pay raise.

I have a better idea. Let's keep a watchful eye on the latest Chicago governor and count how many 24-hour days and nights he actually stays in Springfield after the inauguration. Blago was flamboyant about flying in and out of Chicago on taxpayer money. Quinn did most of his deals in his Chicago Campaign office. If Rauner is serious he will close frivolous duplicate offices because welfare is cheaper than patronage jobs and Chicago should not be on the dole. It should be on its feet. . .

I dare say Mrs. Rauner will do a hell of a lot more good than Blago's wife for instance. It might be wise to judge him after he's been in office for oh, say 2 years. Let's watch as the 2 lawn gnomes Madigan & Cullerton do everything in their power to make changes impossible to their little kingdom.
