Ive been a few places where they were already out in force. I hiked through Johnson Mound Forest Preserve the other day and had to pick up my pace to outrun the little vampires. It had just rained the day before and parts of the trail take you through ridiculously dark and damp woods. Guess I shouldve known better. I got out into the prairie and sunshine and they were nowhere to be found.

Today was alright. Humidity is creeping up a bit, but not uncomfortable by any means. Sunshine for the better part of the day and some gorgeous whispy clould formations. HIgh was 80 degrees.

Well, I did it. I put the A/C on for the first time this year. Too humid for my tastes, especially with the sun heating it up earlier. Ugh.

We've had the A/C on for nearly 3 weeks now......pattern of rain, sun and then unbelievable humidity.

At least we haven't had a tornado watch yet today

We almost broke down last night and turned ours on. We had a hard time sleeping in that humidity.

That's funny Steve, we turned ours on for the first time yesterday also. I miss the 72 degree sunny with cumulus clouds days with no humidity and a slight breeze and the scent of magnolia or lavender.

Amen brotha Josh! Around 4:30 pm last night a wave of big thunderstorms came through and pushed the humidity up to Florida-like levels, it was awful. About an hour later they cleared out and there was a gorgeous sunset and the temps went down from about 80 to 65 in a matter of 2 hours. Today there isnt a cloud in the sky and the humidity levels are MUCH lower, feels great out!
