The question isn't what roads are the worst for potholes, but rather which roads don't look like they've been slammed by asteroids. So far, I haven't found any in the Chicago area this winter.
The one block stretch of Harlem between Jackson and the Eisenhower is holding up nicely

It's been horrific out there this year.

I just had my tire blown after hitting a huge pot hole. You can't even see them all at night until you are right up to it. Could not even go around it anyway both lanes had deep holes. Had to have a police report and I sent it to the state, I suppose I won't get my money for four years. Daley has 2 billion dollars from the sale of the skyway why don't he fix the roads, Oh I forgot he is saving it for his special projects. God only knows what that is. Well in Daley mind the only solution to repairing all the holes is raise taxes. Of course if people really start complaining he will leave the country and claim he never new the streets have holes.

N. Alpine in Rockford between Riverside and Spring Creek. This stretch is state owned and the mayor has threated to close it if the state doesn't act. Update state has paid the city $80,000 for repairs - that ought to fix a few of the moon craters. LOL

the idot pothole patrol is actually working on Rt 47 in sugar grove and just north of yorkville. there are so many potholes, they are just shoveling the cold patch out onto the road. I wish the governor would come for a drive sometime. Come spring, all bets are off on these roads. I don't think the legislators can pass a capital program soon enough to save us.

Default US 45 between the Kankakee county line to Frankfort

I can almost guarantee you that US Route 45 in Will county is worse than any road mentioned, this road is honestly the WORST road I have ever seen or driven on.
