As the parent of a child who goes to the University of Illinois, and just having come back after a visit from there last night, I am numb at the shooting last night that killed an innocent 25 year old bystander from Mundelein at Third and Green. More shootings in the news each day, and so angry at gun advocates who are making this society out of control and jeopardizing the welfare of your average guy who is going to the mall, driving on the expressway, or just going to college. Are things getting that bad? My prayers and heart go out to the parents of that young man,

Gun advocates are not killing people. Your anger is misdirected but this really is a terrible event.

What a monstrous thing to say, and Champaign is nowhere near Chicago.

U of I is more than a 130 miles away from Chicago. Chicago's gun laws would also work a helluva lot better if the South Side didn't border Indiana. Chicago's laws can only do so much when guns can pour across the state border via the Skyway.

Yep, insensitively celebrate an agenda that is irrelevant to the OP and pass it off as a lack of reading comprehension. Cool.
