Okay so I recently filed for unemployment. I made my claim and am waiting to get my money. I enrolled in direct deposit. It says my issue date is today 4/05/2017. What is the issue date? I have literally searched for an answer for the last hour and have not found found any help. It says the payment status is "deposited" but it's not otherwise I would see it on my online bank statement. And how do I figure out when the im supposed to make another claim? Sure I could call unemployment but that seems like a hassle. This is my first time collecting unemployment this is all new to me. Im stressing out so bad, ive been out pounding the pavement everyday looking for a job. I need my unemployment I have bills to pay and a stomach to fill. This is without a doubt way more complicated than it needs to be. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Your best answers *will* most certainly come from the unemployment office. Issue dates sometimes but do not always mean same day deposit, or even next business day. That's why you need to call them to learn the actual procedures.

Did you certify? When you filed it should have given you a date you need to either call or go online to certify. Unemployment checks are direct deposited 2 days after you certify. You have to certify every 2 weeks. I live in Indiana, but I worked in Illinois and I'm currently getting unemployment for the first time.
