I think Illinois is going to see a turn-around now with the new Governor and the GOP blockade that has resulted in taxing the hell out of the people as the only option of the past.
Legalize marijuana
Bring Casinos
Legalize fireworks, and much more.

I hope you are right. I wouldn't think J.B would raise taxes and drive more people and businesses out. With Michigan legalizing marijuana, Illinois is going to hop on board and not lose revenue to a neighboring state.

Time for some positive news. I get a kick out of people that have left the state and continue to come back to this forum to bash the state.

Are you kidding? He RAN promising to raise taxes. Not only that, he is starting to talk about implementing his gas tax. Do you ever read the paper?

Don't think he would raise taxes? Dems just got done raising taxes 33%, overriding a gov veto to do so. Now with one of their own as gov you don't think they will do it again. You must think they already legalized marijuana cause you must be smoking it.
