If you like your dealer, you can keep your dealer!

I heard there was push back to slow down the process so this will be interesting. If JB can pull this off and get MJ legalized by year end, I'll be impressed.

Sure as hell sounds like it was all folks who already have their foot in the door as legal medical marijuana producers who want to have the substantially larger recreational marijuana market all to themselves. "We got this, folks, no need to bring in any more competition."

If it goes through as such, it would be REAL interesting to see what campaign contributions those companies made, and whether any legislators have any financial stake in any of those companies.

I wonder how many people remember when the Illinois Lottery was created and the funds directed to education? The first year they raised $100 million for education, and promptly diverted a different $100 million from the general fund they would have normally given to education - and diverted it to cronies.

I wonder how many remember the "temporary while under construction" toll booths on the interstates that have somehow found their way into being a permanent revenue source... people are so dumb and gullible to trust anything ANY politician says!

This is their plan.

Legalize weed, get $X million new revenue for education.

The $X million that they currently transfer from the general fund to the schools, can now be funneled to cronies.
